Discover The Growth Spurt Difference

Every parent’s greatest desire is for their baby to grow and thrive, whether its breast or formula feeding they have chosen for their child. For parents who have chosen formula feeding, it can be a challenge to find the right formula to meet baby’s individual needs. Many babies have problems digesting cow’s milk, and common cow’s milk-based formulas can be a direct cause of reflux, which can be an unpleasant experience for both baby and their tired parents. Fortunately, there is now another option, goat’s milk formula.
Increasingly, parents and doctors are finding that when it comes to feeding a little one, goat milk formula has numerous advantages when compared to cow’s milk formula. Its protein size makes it less allergenic, and it is naturally homogenized for better digestibility. Unlike cow’s milk, goat’s milk rarely causes intolerance. One of the greatest benefits of goat milk formula lies in its similarity to breast milk in its digestibility and nutritional profile (Park, 1994). To benefit your little one even further, we have added key ingredients that are nutritional hallmarks of breast milk to our formula.
The first high quality ingredient you might not recognize in our formula is Lactoferrin. Lactoferrin is a naturally occurring glycoprotein that helps bind iron for better absorption and to protect your baby’s gut against harmful microorganisms. It also balances and communicates with key immune cells to contribute to a strong immune system (Jirillo & Magrone, 2014).
Another addition to our goat milk formula are human milk oligosaccharides or 2’-FL HMO - special prebiotics that occur naturally in human milk and further help strengthen the infant’s developing immune system. In addition to healthy prebiotics which are essential for fostering the growth of beneficial bacteria that will support baby’s gastrointestinal health, our formula also contains probiotics, the good bacteria that provide the foundation for your baby’s microbiome or gut bacterial population. A balanced array of beneficial bacteria in the gut have been shown to support healthy digestion, immunity, a healthy brain and much more.
Our formula also contains both Omega 3 docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) & arachidonic acid (ARA), two long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids necessary for normal development and brain function. These fatty acids also help combat inflammation and support healthy sensory processing, including healthy hearing and visual processing (Smithers, Gibson, McPhee, & Makrides, 2008). Arachidonic acid has also been shown to reduce the risk of skin and respiratory allergies in babies of mothers who have allergies (Kelley, Taylor, Nelson, & Mackey, 1998).
Finally, essential vitamins and minerals are also added to our formulation to meet all of your baby’s needs for growth and development, including fat soluble vitamins A,D,E and K as well as Methylfolate for MTHFR a superior and bioavailable form of Folate/Folic Acid and vitamin C. Calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc and copper, manganese and iodine offer the right mineral balance for your little one.
